"Tra na mBan" is a Blue Flag Beach located beside the village.

Spiddal is rich in culture and tradition, and has many warm and friendly pubs where you can enjoy talented traditional Irish musicians over a pint of Guinness.

The village has an Irish speaking population. In fact Spiddal is located in an area known as An Gaeltacht, an Irish speaking region of Ireland.

Spiddal has a Craft Centre where you can see the skilled makers work their trade and buy unique handmade gifts. Spiddal Craft Centre houses works shops of many varieties including, candle making, leather work, pottery, screen-printing and siopa Gaeilge, weaving, celtic jewellery, bodhrán making, wood-turning and also has a restaurant.
