Embassies

In general tourists on their holidays do not contact their embassy unless they feel it is necessary to do so as in the case of an accident occurring or a passport is lost.

When such a serious event occurs it is wise to contact your embassy and take whatever advice they offer on the matter. If there is no embassy then there may be an honorory consul in the country who can help.

There are a number of such consuls in the Galway area and they represent countries such as Spain who may have a special relationship with the Galway area.
