Galway Arts Festival Calendar 2006 launched

Galway Arts Festival Calendar 2006 launched

Galway Arts Festival has just launched its calendar for 2006, which is now available from Galway's leading bookshops and newsagents. This year's calendar featuring a stunning selection of photographs taken during this year's Festival and includes a series of striking shots of artists, actors and musicians from the wide and diverse programme of Irish and international events staged in Galway in July.

The calendar cover features a wonderful photograph by Joe O'Shaughnessy of the hugely popular life-size puppets, The Neighbours, by French artist Claude Merle, pictured by the banks of the River Corrib. Other images include Aurelia's Oratorio, DruidSynge, The Small Things, Mother Courage and her children in Purgatory, The Little Mermaid, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Macnas. The calendar also features Marianne Faithfull, Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran, Andrew McCarthy, Yungchen Lhamo amongst others.

This year's calendar comes in a new convenient desk-top format and is individually wrapped in a padded envelope, suitable for postage, making it the ideal souvenir or Christmas gift. It is now available from leading Galway City bookshops and newsagents retailing at only 5 euro. The calendar is also available from Galway Arts Festival at 5 euro plus postage.
