Pat Shanahan (Shannon Airport Authority) guest speaker at Galway Chamber business lunch

Mr. Pat Shanahan, Chairman of the newly established Shannon Airport Authority will address Chamber members and guests at a business lunch to be held in the Great Southern Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway on Thursday March 10 at 12:30.

Ryanair has promised to deliver 1.3 million passengers through Shannon next year rising to a total of 2 million over the next five years thus creating an opportunity for the region as a whole to benefit from an unprecedented boost to the tourist trade.

Galway Chamber in association with Ireland West Tourism have invited Pat Shanahan to talk about the Shannon Airport Authority's vision for Shannon, which is to create a viable and sustainable independent airport, to become the business and leisure gateway to the West of Ireland, in addition to being a significant contributor to regional economic development.

Lunch will be followed by presentation and question & answer session.
