Stokestown International Poetry Festival (29 April - 2 May)

Founded in 1999 the Strokestown International Poetry Festival has gone from strength to strength. The festival is now well established as one of the leading literary festivals in Ireland. Its origins are rooted in the songs and poetry of the area around the local mountain Sliabh Bán.
