Aasleagh is one of the most beautifully situated fishing lodges in Ireland. Located beside the famous Aasleagh Falls near Leenane and half encircled by a magnificent plantation of Scots pine, the Lodge has sensational views over Killary Harbour and the surrounding mountains.
The house dates back to the 18th century. It was badly damaged by fire in 1923, but has since been renovated and is now run by staff of the State's Western Regional Fisheries Board.
