SupermarketsFoodstores and supermarkets in Galway are well dispersed throughout the city and its environs, although the major outlets are on the outskirts in the shopping centres. All of them are spacious and well lit and the food is attractively displayed. There are generally a wide variety of fresh foods on offer, complemented with a full range of canned, frozen and packaged goods. Increasingly supermarkets in the city are carrying lines of local or Irish home made produce which are really worth sampling for a true 'taste of Ireland.'
