BanksIf you plan to travel here from a foreign country then there really is no need to ensure you have sufficient Irish currency with you because all the banks offer a comprehensive bureau de change service, with some of the larger operations offering seven day banking. Opening an account here is also something which can generally be achieved with the greatest of ease. Banking services are widely available in Galway. There are banks located in the city centre and smaller banks in the suburbs. Opening hours are generally 10:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday with late opening on Thursday until 17:00. Closed Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. |
