City Centre

Drinking in the city centre is ideal for those staying in town who don't wish to drive. And while Galway takes its drinking seriously there is any amount of street life on view as one goes from pub to pub, including buskers and jugglers. The city centre is perfect to have a pub crawl in comfort, with many pubs being next to each other: for example The Snug and Garavan's on Shop Street have interconnecting doors. Closing hours for pubs are extended during festivals.
