Feelin' FRISKY on Fridays....

galway.net , 4 Sep 2002

If you're looking for something different this Friday night O'Malley's is the place to be for FRISKY - a new fortnightly fiesta of soulful, funky house, disco and electro with Joey B (POD, Switch, Mezzanine) and Emily Cullen (Oa2).

Joey B, hailed by Johnny Moy on his Spin FM show as "the new kid on the block" is a Tipperary native, living in Dublin for the past 4 years. Mr B. has plied his trade regularly in renowned clubs & pubs on the Dublin scene, such as the Pod, (winner of DUBFLYS Summer Young DJ competition in conjunction with Scott McNaughton's Logic nights), Switch (U.S. house night with DJ Ako), The Odean, Mezzanine and Gubu. He whirls into Gaillimh to start a new fortnighty stint together with his partner in vinyl junkie crime, Emily Cullen, (also a Tipp sister), and resident DJ at another of Galway's most happenin' club nights: Oa2. She has also previously spun at The Odeon and at Kevin Courtney's Sacre Bleu club in the Temple Bar Music Centre .

Both homies will be accompanied by local drummer, Rags who will be displaying his own brand of frisky ass percussion!

Special Frisky mix CDs will be available on the night for lucky frisksters.

So don't forget: Friday 6 September 2002, O'Malley's, Prospect Hill. 10pm 'til late, admission EUR7 or EUR6 with flier

Get down with yo' bad self ya frisky thang!
